It's a Sawyer Thing: Engagement Anniversary

Four years ago today Lance proposed!! We celebrated our proposal at Harry's with family and friends. So every year on March 14th we go to Harry's for a little celebrating!! We can't go tonight because Lance teaches his college class, but we plan on still going sometime!

Our engagement story started off by Mika calling during the week asking if Lance and I wanted to go to Harry's with her and Jay. We agreed and planned on going Friday night. So Friday rolled around and I wanted to run to the mall to find something to wear! Lance argued with me for a bit and I argued back that I didn't realize what the big deal was. I said we can just go right before dinner and if I find something I like I can change in the car on the way, classy right? I did end up going to the mall but he convinced me to go earlier in the day. I know now that I was messing with his plans. I got back and got ready for dinner. After I was ready I came out to find a package on my chair. To back it up a little, while we were dating Lance got me a book for every month we dated. I didn't suspect anything yet I just figured it was a book like every other month. I opened it and it was a wedding planning book with a messaged card taped on top. I turned around(crying a little) to Lance on one knee and a ring in one hand. So we then headed to dinner to find my family, his family and our friends for a big surprise dinner!! All in all Lance pulled off a pretty good surprise engagement with a little help from Mika and our parents!
