Wood Sign

I had one goal today and that was to work out during Lilah's nap, but instead I decided to work on a project I have been thinking about for awhile now. Lance's Dad brought us some old wood from a barn they have at their house a while back and I'm finally putting it to good use! I wanted to make a Christmas sign to put out on my front porch, but didn't get that done, maybe next year! I wasn't for sure what I wanted to do with the other piece, but I knew I wanted to use it inside some how.

Here is my sign!! Lance taught me how to use a saw and nail gun yesterday so I cut and nailed the boards together myself. 

Getting there!!

Here is my sign after a little sanding and I added some more paint. I think I need to sand it a little more. I want it to look a little older. 

I also need to put my saying on.  I want to use a stencil and paint the letters on I just haven't found a stencil yet. I know you can print some off, but we don't have ink in our printer go figure!  

I'll post more pics when I'm done, which is hopefully this week!!
