Spread a little Paint!!

From gallons of paint to a can of paint, I have painted almost everything in this new house. With the help of Pinterest getting my creative juices flowing, I have started many projects lately. I have painted almost every wall and still have two rooms and one hall way to finish. I figured I would wait till some cold days to finish those!! I have really enjoyed painting some furniture and making things lately. I have found several pieces on Craigslist(love it), antique shops or have been given pieces from my family! I'm pretty lucky that Lilah takes on average a 3 hour nap everyday to get several of these projects done.

So I thought I would share a few of my painting projects.

One of my favorites is my dining room table. Lance's Mom found this on craigslist for me and it has worked out perfect. I'm mostly excited about having a dining room and table, we haven't had room for one before!! I painted the chairs red first and stained the bench.

These pictures are a little back wards. Legs painted.

The table before and getting ready to sand.

 Legs ready to paint.

 Finished!!

My next piece was a cabinet my brother and Sandy gave us. I wanted something to put in our spare bedroom, but I ended up putting it in ours. I can always use more storage.

I don't have a before picture.

Next project was something for my front porch for holiday decorating. I wanted an old looking ladder to hang stuff on. We had tons of wood left over from our fence and thought maybe I could just build one.  Lance helped me cut the boards and nail gun them together. Painted and stained hung my fabric and added the letters(bought those at the craft fair), Finished!

These little pumpkins I made and painted from left over fence wood as well.

Next project, I wanted to make Lilah a hanging book shelf for her room. I used an old pallet we got from our fence as well. Cut the bottom section off, used one of the middle board for the bottom piece, nailed all together and painted it. Now all it needs is to be hung and filled with books.

I plan on using the rest of this pallet for a hanging planter box next spring!

Can't wait to get it hung!!

One more simple project. I found an old door in our basement that was left behind. I wanted something to paint with chalkboard paint that I could use for notes, sayings, a menu or for whatever. I thought this would be perfect since I do believe this door was once used somewhere in this house. We have several old doors in our basement and I still can't figure where they came from. We only have one open door hinge.

I still have two more dressers and desk to paint plus a few more little projects!!   All of my stuff is definitely not professional looking, but it has kept me busy and I enjoy it!! So I guess thanks to Pinterest for the ideas and thanks to Lilah for napping so well!!!
